Home & Garden: House Calls Home & Garden

The Problem

"We've recently reclaimed our dining room, which used to serve as the kids' playroom," McGonigle writes. "Now we'd like to have it function as our home office." The 11-by-15-foot space is visible from the front door and adjacent to the living room, so McGonigle needs "storage that can hide the papers and clutter that an office seems to attract."

The Solution

» Fabrics soften the room and create a comfortable retreat.
