Canada Dry Town

1940s

A nearly complete Canada Dry bottling plant on East-West Highway in Silver Spring. The plant was designed by New York City architect Walter Monroe Cory, whose motto was "Factories can be beautiful."

2008

The plant closed in 1999. The Silver Spring Historical Society fought to save the structure, whose art deco facade and foyer have been incorporated into the Silverton condominiums.
