The Drama of History

1865: The president's box at Ford's Theatre soon after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. More than a million people visit Ford's each year, which became a historic landmark in 1968.
2009: The interior of Ford's Theatre in February, after an 18-month renovation. Its museum, located below the theater, reopened in July, completing a $50 million restoration.
