Nothing says cool quite like the basic cotton T-shirt. Whether it's the classic white crewneck favored by James Dean or the graphic variety sported by any number of urban scenesters, this wardrobe staple has stuck around to become the favored launchpad for many a young designer. We checked in with five D.C.-based brands to see their spin on the plain ol' tee.
