Potential value assumes a 5 percent appreciation in the stock price over the stated term of the options awarded. **KPMG Consulting executives were awarded options in fiscal year 2000, which ended June 30, 2000. However, for reasons related to the company's initial public stock offering, these options were given a strike price of $55 a share, far above KPMG's $18 IPO price, and are therefore valued at zero. Also, for seven months of the fiscal year, KPMG's executives were compensated as partners of KPMG, not as officers of a public company.
