    Developments:
CACI has been growing from within and from without. Following its buyout of IMS Technologies Inc., a management information systems company, the company made two other acquisitions in the past year: Sunset Resources Inc. of San Antonio, which specializes in logistics support for the Air Force and electronic commerce, and SPA Field Force Planning Ltd., a small British firm that makes software for marketing applications.

The purchases reflect CACI's continuing diversification beyond the defense business. In the fall it won two contracts from the Justice Department: to provide records management and to continue providing litigation-support services.

The company also is marketing services to clients that have computers that cannot recognize the year 2000.
