Shannon Henry
![]() Before joining the Business section of The Post, Shannon Henry co-founded TechCapital, a bi-monthly magazine covering technology business and finance, where she served as editor. Before that, Shannon covered telecommunications and the Internet for Washington Technology. Both publications are owned by The Washington Post Co. Shannon has also written for American Banker. Shannon was born in 1969 in New York and grew up in the Maryland suburbs. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Boston University and a master's in journalism and public policy from American University, during which she wrote for The Christian Science Monitor. Her first job out of college was at National Public Radio where, among other things, she was the in-house staff photographer.
