This Friday, Dec. 11, marks the first night of Hannukah. Christmas is just two weeks later. So it seems that the time is right to raise the usual seasonal question: What books do you plan to give to family and friends for these holidays? What books would you like to receive as gifts yourself? The first question should elicit realistic answers; for those feeling high-spirited, you can make your answers to the second more fanciful.
