Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says that the CIA misled her about waterboarding in 2002. I'm not inclined to believe her. For one thing, she has changed her story too many times. For another, if the CIA lied to her in 2002 she would have had to have realized it years ago. Is it at all credible that she would have said nothing in public about having been deceived for all this time?
It seems much more likely that she knew about waterboarding in 2002, didn't object at the time, started to raise her voice against the practice when it became politically expedient, and is now revising the record to cover up her lack of principle. What do you think?
