To provide a more customized experience for our readers, washingtonpost.com now provides separate home pages -- one tailored to our local audience and one to our national and international audience.
While the home page you first receive will be tied to your registration ZIP code or country, you will be able to override that setting, as we realize providing choice is crucial to your Web experience. It's also important to note that, regardless of which page you receive, you won't be cut off from any content on washingtonpost.com.
On the local home page, you will still receive all the major national and international stories of the day, but you'll also see a greater emphasis on local news, traffic, weather, entertainment and features. On the national/international page, you will find news and perspective from around the globe, as well as local stories that we believe will resonate outside the Beltway.
If you have not yet registered on washingtonpost.com, you will receive the national/international home page as a default. Once you register, you will receive the home page appropriate to your ZIP code or country. If you decide that you want a different home page than the one you're receiving, it's easy for you to switch at any time by changing your home page setting or updating your your ZIP code or country.
As always, we are interested in your feedback. Please feel free to send comments about the dual home pages and the site in general to executive.editor@washingtonpost.com.
