"As a resident of Loudoun and Fairfax for a generation, and as a parent, taxpayer and homeowner, I understand our communities' needs."
"Adequate funding for educational and transportation infrastructure. In rapidly growing areas such as eastern and central Loudoun and western Fairfax, Virginia must provide greater assistance for local public schools and for local road and transit projects. Such educational funding priorities include school construction and revised operating fund formulas that accurately reflect the high standards of parents and students in Northern Virginia. Regarding transportation, we must seize more regional authority from Richmond, through innovations such as the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, and archaic funding formulas must be updated to reflect 'congestion' factors, thereby providing more revenues to urban and fast-growing areas."
