"Traffic congestion continues to worsen, and many schools continue to fall into disrepair. This is not the time to increase taxes, requiring that we work within the existing budget framework. The governor and legislators must show leadership by setting tough new priorities, resulting in greater investment in these critical infrastructure needs. The Board of Supervisors must show the same leadership, owning up to its responsibility rather than blaming Richmond. Federal, state and local elected leaders must pool their available resources in order to solve these problems."
