"My background in public policy and on the School Board provides me with the expertise to get the job done in transportation and education."
"Traffic congestion, and the factors leading to congestion (i.e., unmanaged growth), is clearly the most difficult challenge facing my district and one which we must get a handle on. We need to stop continuing raids on the Transportation Trust Fund, establish better network planning to maximize public transportation and turn to imaginative solutions (i.e., High Occupancy Toll lanes) to begin solving that problem. Congestion is closely followed by education, where we need to insist that tax monies are spent on programs that have demonstrated their effectiveness in helping all children, but most importantly underperforming children."
