"The 37th District is the 'education district.' All three high schools located within our borders are ranked in the top 100 nationally. Our property values, business success and quality of life are inextricably bound to our schools. Several of our local schools need to be renovated in the next five years. It is critical that Richmond permit more freedom in diversifying the local revenue base so that the financial burden for 'educating the next generation' does not fall solely on Fairfax homeowners paying real estate taxes."
