"Our most urgent issue is the extreme lack of fairness in funding for Fairfax County and Northern Virginia for education and transportation needs. Even though my colleagues and I in the General Assembly were able to balance the state budget last year without raising taxes or cutting K-12 aid, we need to provide more education funding to growing suburban counties like Fairfax and also focus our limited transportation resources on congested areas like Northern Virginia. I have fought for this in the past and will continue until we're successful."
