"Though Loudoun is the fastest-growing county in the commonwealth, we receive only 18 cents back for every dollar in taxes that we send to Richmond. Five years ago, that same dollar brought 33 cents back to our community. In this year alone, the difference would have meant $62 million$62 million that could have reduced class size and eased traffic headaches. But because only 18 percent of our tax dollars return to our county, we had to pay more in property taxes just to address the needs of our growing community. This is unacceptable."
