"The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in Loudoun County prosecutes cases originating in eight different police agencies. All of those agencies have grown rapidly over the last two terms (eight years) as criminal cases have increased. A high level of communication, coordination and cooperation between police agencies and the prosecutor's office is mandatory to ensure successful prosecution of all crimes, particularly incidents which are gang-related. This office is structured with these elements as a foundation to ensure trial preparation beginning at the scene of a crime. That preparation has produced a high conviction rate as shown by the record."
