"I have a record of making government work to improve people's lives, and will put those skills to work to make Leesburg a better place."
"There are many important challenges facing our county. Among the foremost is transportation. Our roads are more than convenience: They are the arteries of public safety services, commerce, and a key aspect of our quality of life. Congested roads translate into delayed emergency service response times, higher costs and less quality time with our families. I have a record of realizing real improvements to Leesburg's roads. For example, during my terms as mayor, Leesburg received more money from the Virginia Department of Transportation than the Loudoun County government. I will put those same skills to work to improve Loudoun's transportation."
