"Having been a school and community volunteer for over 20 years, I know the wishes and needs of the Blue Ridge District."
"The most urgent problem countywide is the exponential growth in population and the resulting demand for more schools and more teachers. Loudoun County is faced with trying to keep up its excellent academic reputation in spite of budget cuts from the federal, state and local governments. In the Blue Ridge District, many small, older schools are in danger of consolidation as the county tries to economize. I believe in the significance of these schools as the heart and soul of their communities and will do my best to find ways to keep them open."
