"Who do you know with 30 years' experience in the public schools, and who has kids in the elementary school? Tom Marshall is the one!"
"Funding and safety. To ensure quality education, teacher salaries need to remain competitive and Loudoun County must ensure low pupil-to-teacher ratios, especially in critical academic areas. Scrutinizing school construction options, as well as working with our legislators concerning under-funded mandates from the state and federal governments will help address the funding issue. Clearly defined expectations for student behavior with appropriate, reasoned and coordinated interventions/consequences need to be communicated frequently throughout the school year to protect the security of the teaching/learning environment."
