"I bring to the School Board a common-sense, results-oriented approach, coupled with my experience in local government to best serve the Dulles District."
"The growth in Loudoun County will cause our current enrollment of approximately 40,000 students to jump to over 50,000 students in the next School Board's term. We must ensure that our operating and capital budgets can keep pace with the challenges posed by this enormous growth—hiring new teachers, building new schools and renovating older schools, maintaining small class sizes, etc.—and do so in the most cost-effective manner possible. The taxpayers have not given us a blank check, and we must recognize that and scrutinize all school system expenditures to achieve economies wherever possible."
