"As an experienced and dedicated legislator, I stay in close touch with my constituents, listen to them, represent their interests and provide excellent constituent service."
"Virginia is at a critical crossroads. Significant investments are required for quality schools, K-12 and colleges; balanced transportation, including mass transit; environmental protections for clean air and water; and health care for seniors and children. It is past time to put partisan differences aside and to stop the state's slide into mediocrity. An outdated tax structure needs to be revised for fairness and for adequacy to fund core services of government. Quality of life in our communities must be preserved through smart-growth planning and upgrading basic infrastructure. Technology must be utilized to make government more accessible."
