Biography:

John Sullivan was born and raised in Tulsa and is a fourth generation Oklahoman. He graduated from Bishop Kelley High School and Northeastern State University with a degree in business administration.

In 1992 Sullivan married Judy Beck and they have four children.

He first ran for election to the Oklahoma Legislature in 1994 and won three, two year terms before winning a special election in 2002 to fill the Congressional seat previously held by Steve Largent.


Past Campaigns:

John Sullivan was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1994, and re-elected in 1996 and 1998.

He won a special election in February 2002 to the U.S. Congress, filling the seat that Steve Largent held until resigning to run for governor.

He was elected to a full term in November 2002 with 56 percent of the vote.
