Biography:
John Barrow was born and raised in Athens, Ga., where he still lives. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Barrow was a personal injury lawyer until being elected a Clarke County commissioner in 1990.
His wife, Victoria Pentlarge, is a veterinary opthamologist. They have two children, James and Ruth.
