Biography:
Arthur "Chuck" Barton was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He lived in several cities while his family followed his father's escalating career as a sales executive in the paper industry.
While in college he worked summers in a warehouse in Cincinnati boxing ice cream cones. He is now a banker.
Barton said his interest in politics began at Kenyon College, in Ohio, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science.
He and his wife, Holly, have three grown children.
Past Campaigns:
This is Chuck Barton's first run for the 2nd Congressional District. He's served as East Greenwich Town Council president since 2002. He was also on the town's school committee, six years as chairman.
