Biography:

Bruce Best owns a computer consulting business. The former construction worker and real estate broker was born in Chicago. His father was an inspector for the city Building's Department.

After high school, Best worked as a carpenter for about 20 years. From 1986 to about 2002, Best said he sold real estate. He started his computer business in the mid-1980s.

Best graduated summa cum laude in 1992 from Northeastern University in Chicago, where he received a degree in speech communications and management.

Over the years Best has lived in Mount Prospect and several other suburbs of Chicago. He currently lives in the city's Northwest Side.


Past Campaigns:

Best ran unsuccessfully for alderman of his ward in 2002. This is his first congressional campaign.
