Biography:

Frank Cusimano's father is from Italy, but Cusimano was born in 1964 in Glen Cove, N.Y., where he grew up. He attended parochial schools before attending Glen Cove High School, where he studied mechanics and electronics and graduated in 1983.

After high school, Cusimano moved to Ohio at the invitation of his uncle and he worked at a bakery. He took classes at a branch of Kent State University but decided not to finish college because he said he prefers to work with his hands.

He started Cusimano Electronics in 1991, a business that automates systems in buildings that control lights, heat and air conditioning.

Cusimano and his wife, Lori Decker, have two children.
