Why should voters elect you?
"After 25 years of service, I understand my district's needs. I work tirelessly for constituents and get results. I love my job and serving you."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Voters should reelect me because I remain focused on preserving the high quality of life enjoyed by Northern Virginians, by working to keep taxes low, improve education, enhance public safety, reduce traffic congestion and make government more efficient. My record speaks for itself: promoting telecommuting and securing federal funds for Dulles rail and other transportation projects; using my chairmanship of the Government Reform Committee to push personnel, procurement and technology reforms that benefit federal employees, local businesses and taxpayers; and working to strengthen homeland security, promote regional disaster preparedness and improve federal-local coordination in battling the region's gang problem."
