Biography:

Scott Elliott was born in Chicago on Aug. 6, 1941. He studied art and scene design the Yale University School of Drama and later became an art dealer specializing in the work of Frank Lloyd Wright.

He and his wife, former dancer Eileen Cropley, moved to Benton Harbor, Mich., 17 years ago to live in a home designed in 1949 by Wright. They now run a bookstore, gallery and dance studio in the city.


Past Campaigns:

Scott Elliott lost a 2002 primary campaign for the state House to Democrat Ruthie Haralson, who beat him by 64 votes. Haralson lost the general election to GOP state Rep. Charles LaSata, who got 69.2 percent of the vote.
