Biography:
Bob Ellis was born in Augusta, Ga. and now lives in Evans, Ga., just north of Augusta.
He attended the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1972 and a master's degree in business administration a year later.
He later received a master's degree in eduction from Augusta State University in 1997.
His career in banking and other finance-related jobs found him working for several companies in Georgia, Florida and New York, including a stint on Wall Street with an investment banking firm.
He has been self-employed for the past 10 years and for the past seven years has taught finance courses at Augusta State University.
Ellis is divorced with two children.
