Biography:
Rick Elser was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and lives in New Haven, Conn. He graduated from Yale University with a bachelor's degree in history in 1981.
Elser, a New Haven restaurateur, also founded a successful mini-brewery in 1987.
He has served as commissioner of the New Haven Town Green Special Services District and as a board member of the AIDS Project of New Haven.
He is single.
