Biography:
Tim Escobar was born in Compton, Calif., and was raised in the district he wants to represent in Congress.
He is a retired Army officer and is now a member of the Army National Guard, where he serves as both an attack and air assault pilot.He studied aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and worked as a tooling draftsman and designer for McDonnell Douglas.
After being laid off, he became a financial consultant.
He lives in La Mirada with his wife, Debra, and their four children.
Past Campaigns:
Tim Escobar ran against Linda Sanchez in 2002 when the 39th Congressional District in southeast Los Angeles County was first created, but lost, 55 percent to 41 percent. This is his second congressional campaign.
