Biography:

Jim Feldkamp grew up in Roseburg, Ore., and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University.

He graduated from the Naval War College in 1996 and got a master's degree in international affairs from the Catholic University of America in 1998. He graduated from the FBI Academy in 1999 and specialized in counterrorism intelligence until resigning from the agency in 2003 to run for Congress.

He flew missions as a Naval aviator in operation Desert Storm and is a commander in the Naval Reserve.
