Biography:

Jeff Flake is a 5th generation Arizona resident. He was born and raised on a ranch in Snowflake, Ariz., a town named, in part, after Jeff's great-great grandfather. He was the fifth of eleven children, raised in a strict Mormon household.

Before attending Brigham Young University, Jeff served a Mormon mission in South Africa and Zimbabwe. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master's degree in Political Science in 1987.

He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Mesa with their five children.


Past Campaigns:

In 2000, Jeff Flake's second campaign, he defeated Democrat David Mendoza 53 percent to 43 percent.

In 2002, he defeated Democratic candidate Deborah Thomas of Chandler, Ariz. for re-election, winning 64 percent of the vote.
