Biography:

Andrew Horning was born in Indianapolis and has lived there ever since. He graduated from Indiana University in 1990 and is now a clinical product support manager for Biosound Esaote Inc., which makes electronic imaging diagnostic equipment for the medical industry and specializes in portable ultrasound equipment.

He has five children, the youngest three schooled at home. He and his wife, Wendy, have a small farm in Freedom, Indiana, but are rooted in Indianapolis.


Past Campaigns:

Andrew Horning won the GOP nomination for the 7th District seat by capturing about 70 percent of the vote and defeating financial consultant Bob Croddy.

Before he switched to the Republican Party in 2003, Horning ran for several offices as a Libertarian, including state representative in 1996, Indianapolis mayor in 1999, governor in 2000 and the 7th District congressional seat in 2002. He received 4 percent of the vote in the mayor's race, his best showing.
