Biography:
Sandy Matheson was born in Denver, Colo., and resides in Kennewick, Wash. She graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1973 and received a master's in business administration from Washington State University in 1998.
She has worked as a public accountant, chief executive of an organization that oversaw health care for Hanford workers, and as an instructor. Matheson also served as chairwoman of the regional economic development council and on numerous boards.
Matheson and her husband, Craig, have two children.
