Biography:

Arlette Molina was born in Houston and is a third-generation Houstonian. She graduated from Rice University in 1982 and earned a law degree from the University of Houston's Law Center in 1986.

She has practiced law in both Texas and Florida, focusing on complex commercial law, real estate, bankruptcy and appellate law. During the last 12 years, she has run her own law office in Houston.

She has served as president of Hispanic Women in Leadership. She has also served on several different boards, including a member of the executive board of directors for the March of Dimes, vice president of the Mexican-American Bar Association and a board member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston.

She was recognized by the Houston Chronicle and Texas Executive Women with their "2001 Women on the Move" award. She lives in Houston with her daughter, Amanda.
