Page graduated from Boerne High School in 1975 and received a Navy scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin. He left the Navy to work as a computer technician.

He was laid off during the economic downturn of the 1980s and spent six years working in carpentry, cabinetry, roofing, painting and other jobs until he established a business installing minicomputer networks. Page was then hired by a technology company and became a programmer working in sites in Maine, Texas and Colorado. He landed a long-term contract in Dallas and recently became a permanent employee.
