Biography:

Rick Renzi grew up in rural Arizona. After graduating from Buena High School in Sierra Vista, he received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Northern Arizona University.

Upon graduation, Renzi started his own businesses beginning with a Flagstaff-based real estate investment firm. His later endeavors include Renzi and Co., an insurance company designed to help nonprofit organizations. Today, it insures almost all the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in the United States and Canada. The centers counsel pregnant women against having abortions.

At 39, Renzi returned to school and studied law at Catholic University in Washington D.C. He also worked for Arizona's congressional delegation, including Senator Jon Kyl.

Renzi and his family own a vineyard in southern Arizona and produce their own vintage. Renzi resides in Flagstaff, Ariz., and is married and has 12 children.

Renzi was first elected to the House in 2002.
