Biography:
Tony Salazar was born March 17, 1959 in Hartford, Conn. He graduated with honors from Georgetown University in 1982 and with honors from George Washington University Law School in 1985. He is deputy general counsel for Provident Bank in Baltimore. He has lived in Ellicott City since 1992.
A lifelong Republican, Salazar is making his first run for elected office. He says he has been very involved with nonprofit agencies. He has served as president of the board of Centro de la Communidad, president of the Jim Rouse Enterprise Fund, and treasurer of Leadership Howard County.
He has three children.
