Biography:

Dale Schultz was born on June 12, 1953, in Madison, Wis., and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975. Following graduation, he went to work on the family farm in Richland Center.

He won a seat in the state assembly in 1982 and won a special election for the seat in the state senate he still holds.

He is married and has two children.

Past Campaigns:

Dale Schultz beat a 14-year incumbent Democrat for a seat in the state Assembly in 1982. He then beat a fellow member of the Assembly in a Republican primary for an open Senate seat. After winning that special election in 1991, he has been re-elected three times. He is making his first bid for federal office.
