Biography:
A native of Thibodaux, La., Billy Tauzin III attended the United States Coast Guard Academy and received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Louisiana State University.
After graduation, Tauzin embarked upon a career with Bell Atlantic Mobile for three years before going to work as a manager for BellSouth Regulatory and External Affairs.
Tauzin is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Nicholls State University, where he founded the university's lacrosse team and serves as a volunteer coach.
Tauzin and his wife, Kristin, reside in Thibodaux.
