Biography:

John Wolfe, a Chattanooga native who has practiced law in his hometown since 1984, won the Democratic primary Aug. 5 with about 60percent of the party's vote.

Before practicing law, Wolfe worked in factories and grocery stores and did lawncare.


Past Campaigns:

This is John Wolfe's third campaign for the 3rd District House seat.

In 2002, Wolfe lost the general election to incumbent Rep. Zach Wamp, gaining only 34 percent of the vote.

In 1998, Wolfe lost in the Democratic primary to former state Sen. Jim Lewis.
