Biography:

Jeff Miller is an associate professor of communications at Utica College, where he teaches courses on communication, public speaking, broadcasting and film. He worked as a press aide for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Miller is a lifelong Independent, except for a brief stint with the Green Party. He became a Democrat in November 2003 and is a member of the Oneida County Democratic Committee.


Past Campaigns:

Jeff Miller was initially challenged for the Democratic nomination by Brian Goodell, an auto union official from Lansing. Goodell withdrew after Miller won the first five county party endorsements from among the 11 counties that make up the district.
