Biography:

Fred Hardee, of Colorado Springs, was born in Nichols, S.C. He is a self-employed small business owner in financial services.

Hardee served in the U.S. Army, including posts in Vietnam, South Korea and Europe, and has a bachelor of arts degree in management from the University of Texas El Paso, 1975.

He moved to Colorado Springs in 1992, became a precinct chairman, ran unsuccessfully for county commissioner in 2000 and served as county party chairman until 2003.

Hardee has a wife, Charlcey, two sons and two daughters.
