Biography:

Ed Trawinski is a former mayor of Fair Lawn, the northern New Jersey town where he still lives.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Trawinski is a graduate of Fordham University, Rutgers Law School and the NYU Graduate Law School. He is a partner with the New Jersey law firm of Schenck Price Smith and King, based in Morristown. His expertise is in land use, zoning and environmental law.

He was the assistant commissioner of commerce during the administration of Gov. Tom Kean.

Trawinski is involved with several veterans' organizations; he served six years in the New Jersey Army National Guard.

He and his wife, Diane, have three children.
