Bill Brenner was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1940, and moved to Grahamsville, N.Y. in 1948, where he still resides.
In 1962 he graduated from St. Lawrence University, where he studied history, government and English. He then graduated from New York University School of Law in 1965 where he studied constitutional law.
