Biography:

Jerry Cronin graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, and received a full academic scholarship to St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn.

Upon his college graduation in 1984, Cronin was hired to teach freshman social studies at St. Francis Preparatory in Queens. Cronin went on to teach there for 15 years and during that time, received his master's degree in history from St. John's University.

Cronin opened the Monsignor Ferris Life Center, a crisis pregnancy center to assist unwed mothers, in Rockaway Park, Queens, in 1996.

Cronin left St. Francis Prep in 1999 and taught a G.E.D. Program for one year. He then joined the editorial staff of The Tablet, the weekly Catholic newspaper for the Diocese of Brooklyn, where he has been employed since February of 2001.

He presently resides in Broad Channel, Queens.
