Biography:
Terry Gerratana was born and raised in New Britain, Conn., where she graduated from New Britain High School and Central Connecticut State University.
In the 1980s, she served as president of the area League of Women Voters and president of Junior League of Greater New Britain. She was also a city ethics commissioner in the early 1990s.
A married mother of two, she won a seat in the state legislature in 1992, serving for 10 years before stepping down to spend more time with her aging parents.
Past Campaigns:
Terry Gerratana was elected to Connecticut's General Assembly in 1992, and was re-elected five times. She decided not to run again in 2002 so should could spend more time with her aging parents.
