Biography:
Doug Cloud has lived most of his life in the south Puget Sound area. He was born in Tacoma and grew up in nearby Fife.
He received a bachelor's degree in economics and, later, a law degree from the University of Washington.
Cloud met his wife, Elice, at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, Tenn. and the pair were married in 1984 in Knoxville. They have three children.
Cloud worked as a prosecuting attorney in both Pierce and Kitsap counties, before trying his hand at being a stockbroker in 1986. He quickly returned to law, this time in private practice, eventually opening his own independent office in Tacoma.
